In Loving Memory of Joyce Marie
Joyce Marie was more than a beloved mother she was a guiding light, a selfless servant, a world traveler, and a true fashionista. A retired Sergeant in the United States Army, Joyce dedicated her life to service, both in uniform and in her community. After retiring from the military, she continued her life’s mission by giving back especially to women who needed guidance, support, and a helping hand to find their strength.
Joyce tragically passed away in 1998 in a car accident, but her legacy lives on in every life she touched, especially her daughter, Brittney. Known for her impeccable style, Joyce loved fashion and believed in helping others feel good in what they wore. She made it a point to share that joy with her family returning from her travels across the globe with fine clothing and gifts that left her loved ones feeling seen and celebrated. Her siblings fondly remember the excitement of her homecomings, knowing she’d arrive with thoughtful surprises from wherever she had been stationed or visited.
In honor of Joyce’s giving spirit, timeless style, and deep love for her family and community, her daughter Brittney created Joyce’s Forever Closet. This initiative continues Joyce’s mission by providing clothing, support, and confidence to women in need exactly as Joyce would have done if she were still here today.
Her spirit of generosity, elegance, and strength lives on through every outfit given, every woman uplifted, and every life changed.

Brittney is the heart and visionary behind Joyce’s Forever Closet Inc., an organization founded in loving memory of her late mother, Joyce Marie. Inspired by her mother’s deep compassion, community service, and timeless sense of style, Brittney launched this organization to empower women who are less fortunate by providing them with clothing and support to build their confidence and reclaim their independence. Her mission is to honor Joyce Marie’s legacy by offering a lifeline to women in need—helping them to not only look their best but to feel their best as they step forward into new chapters of their lives.
As a passionate community advocate, Brittney continues to grow in every direction she can—always seeking new ways to expand her impact and extend a hand to those in need. Her dream is to see Joyce’s Forever Closet Inc. flourish and become a source of empowerment, growth, and dignity for women everywhere. She thrives to see this organization grow beyond her wildest imagination, and her dedication inspires everyone around her.
